Do Big 4 firms hire CMA US holders in India?

We could not find an official Big 4 statement on hiring CMA US holders in India, so we do not claim one. The employers in PayScale’s CMA data for India are mainly corporates and global capability centres.

That fits what the CMA is for: IMA’s experience requirement is in management accounting or financial management, so its natural home is FP&A, costing, controlling and business-finance teams inside companies — including the India operations of multinationals such as J.P. Morgan, Accenture, Genpact and Novartis that appear in PayScale’s data.

What do you need to earn the CMA and its salary premium?

Pass both exam parts within three years, hold a bachelor’s degree or related professional certification, and complete two continuous years of experience in management accounting or financial management.

The experience can be gained before or after the exams. Planning your parts around IMA’s three testing windows keeps the timeline short.
